Saint‑Tropez, one of the most glamorous polo destinations in the world, hosted the final of the Gold Cup on Sunday, June 14. The tournament featured two handicap levels — 4–6 goals and 8–10 goals — and brought together top international teams at Haras de Gassin on the French Riviera.
In the top category, ten teams of up to 10 goals competed throughout the season. Aravali and Mustang reached the final after defeating Savoir and Battistoni, respectively, in the semifinals. The championship match was broadcast live on Polo Channel, extending the excitement of the Côte d’Azur to audiences around the world.
The final was tightly contested from start to finish. Aravali opened the match with strong momentum, but Mustang quickly found their rhythm and stayed within striking distance. The game evolved into a balanced, high‑intensity battle, with both teams exchanging pressure and control. Led by standout player Manuel Fernández Llorente, Aravali managed to hold their advantage in the decisive moments. Mustang closed the gap late in the match, hoping to force extra time, but fell just short. The final score was Aravali 8 – Mustang 7.5.
Earlier in the day, the 4–6 goal final delivered another close contest, with La Saga defeating Nicava 8–7.
