Just before the start of the new polo season in Lima, Standing Rock played a 12‑goal test match against the local Candelabro Team, owned by Gonzalo Andrade.

The match was held on perfectly prepared fields, offering an ideal stage for competitive polo. Beyond the action on the field, the day was marked by the warm hospitality and enthusiasm of the Peruvian polo community, who welcomed players and guests alike.
This encounter not only served as a strong pre‑season test for Standing Rock, but also highlighted the growing passion for polo in Peru, where tradition, sport, and camaraderie come together to create memorable experiences.

So far in 2026, Philipp has already played polo in almost 10 countries across Europe, Asia and South America as part of the Standing Rock World Tour, including winning the Snow Polo World Cups in Kitzbühel, Austria, and St. Moritz, Switzerland, along with the Abraham Aparicio 12-Goal Cup in Bogotá, Colombia. Philipp’s son, Pierandrea, also claimed the Milford New Zealand Open title earlier this year, adding another victory to an impressive winning streak for Standing Rock.
With the UK summer season about to kick-off, the months ahead look exciting for Standing Rock. However, win or lose, it’s the love of the sport and the desire to stay true to its values and make a positive impact in polo that is the team’s motivating force.
