The British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship qualifiers continued last week on the first day of The Royal Highland Show.

A total of sixty combinations stepped up to face Mark McGowan’s 1.35m track. Despite faults scattered throughout the course, thirteen rode through to the jump-off. Rachel Proudley stood out by securing two of the rides.

Being the first rider to take on the jump-off, Rachel understood that she needed to set a high standard to secure her place in the Horse of the Year show, and she delivered exactly that. Racing around the shortened course, Rachel skilfully guided Millfield Chrisis, a nine-year-old gelding owned by Alan Marnie, completing the course in an impressive time of 40.95 seconds. None of the competitors who followed could match her performance, placing Rachel in the top spot.

We look forward to seeing Rachel compete in the Championship at Horse of the year Show later this year.
