POSEIDON DYNAMITE CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF THE AMBASSADOR’S CUP

Action at St. Tropez Polo Club continues, in one of the most lavish and glamorous polo destinations, set in Haras de Gassin, in the Cote d’Azur, in the South of France, with the finals of the Ambassadors Cup, that took place on Sunday July 26. The competition saw eight teams up to 10 goals, in participation.

Posseidon Dynamite and Adelante played the decisive match; they reached the final after beating 11/11 Power Horse and La Saga, in semifinals, respectively.

After a very even first chukka, that saw Posseidon Dynamite with a slight 2-1 advantage, Rocco Ragnini and his boys seized the reins in a spectacular second chukka; led by their flagship man, Simón García Guerra, Posseidon Dynamite earned an impressive 5-1 lead, that allowed them to control the two remaining chukkas. Although Adelante struggled to make a comeback, the damage has already been done – Posseidon Dynamite were 6-2 up in the third, and sealed the deal in the last chukka, to win by a 7-4 score and take the Ambassadors Cup.

In other finals, the Subsidiary went to Battistoni, who beat Nicava Las Floreales 5-3, while 11/11 Power Horse claimed a narrow 6-5 over La Saga, in the match for the third place.
