Just outside Prague, in the village of Sýkořice near the Křivoklát protected landscape area, a new chapter for polo is being written. The New Generation Polo Club was born from a passion for the sport, family ties to the region, and the desire to create something lasting for future generations. What began as a dream in mid-2025 has now become a concrete project, supported by close friends and dedicated horsemen.
Although still in its early stages, the club is already laying strong foundations: acquiring high-quality horses, preparing facilities, and building a new polo field. The vision is to create a welcoming environment for players, clients, and visitors, while respecting the natural conditions of the area.
A key element of this journey is the partnership with La Guapeada Polo Club in Argentina, led by David and Luis Lagomarsino. Inspired by Argentine traditions, NG Polo Club aims to bring authentic polo culture to the Czech Republic. The club also collaborates with institutions in Germany, Bratislava, and Poland, strengthening its European network.
For the upcoming season, professional player and coach David Lagomarsino will join NG Polo Club as both mentor and advisor, ensuring that the project grows with expertise and international standards.
Looking ahead, the ambition is clear: to build a unified polo community in the heart of Europe, rooted in tradition yet open to innovation. The immediate focus is on preparing the field, acquiring horses, attracting new members and partners, and organizing clinics and tournaments. The highlight will be the official opening tournament, scheduled for August 21–23, 2026, marking the club’s formal debut.

A las afueras de Praga, en el pueblo de Sýkořice, cerca del área protegida de Křivoklát, comienza a escribirse un nuevo capítulo para el polo. El New Generation Polo Club nació de la pasión por este deporte, de los lazos familiares con la región y del deseo de crear algo duradero para las futuras generaciones. Lo que empezó como un sueño en 2025 hoy es un proyecto real, respaldado por amigos y profesionales dedicados al cuidado de los caballos.
Aunque el club está en sus primeros pasos, ya se están sentando bases sólidas: adquisición de caballos de alta calidad, preparación de instalaciones y construcción de una nueva cancha de polo. La visión es ofrecer un espacio acogedor para jugadores, clientes y visitantes, siempre en armonía con el entorno natural.
Un aspecto clave de este camino es la alianza con La Guapeada Polo Club en Argentina, liderado por David y Luis Lagomarsino. Inspirado en las tradiciones argentinas, NG Polo Club busca traer la auténtica cultura del polo a la República Checa. Además, mantiene vínculos con clubes en Alemania, Bratislava y Polonia, fortaleciendo su red europea.
En la próxima temporada, el jugador y coach profesional David Lagomarsino se sumará al NG Polo Club como mentor y asesor, garantizando que el proyecto crezca con experiencia y estándares internacionales.
De cara al futuro, la ambición es clara: construir una comunidad de polo unificada en el corazón de Europa, con bases sólidas y tradiciones auténticas. En el corto plazo, el foco estará en preparar la cancha, adquirir caballos, atraer nuevos socios y organizar clínicas y torneos. El gran hito será el torneo inaugural oficial, programado para el 21 al 23 de agosto de 2026, que marcará la presentación formal del club.
