Juan Martin Zubia, el tres del equipo de La Ensenada para esta temporada 2024, ya empieza a palpitar la Triple Corona. En PoloHUB hablamos con el jugador oriundo de Trenque Lauquen mientras se encuentra en plena temporada Europea.
La Ensenada es una de las grandes organizaciones que ya se encuentra preparándose y con la cabeza puesta en la temporada Argentina. Por eso, cada uno de sus integrantes busca llegar de la mejor manera al primer torneo, Hurlingham. Las ganas nunca faltan y los deseos de conseguir la gloria en los más alto del Polo Mundial están intactos.
En este contexto y en medio de la temporada europea, hablamos con Juan Martin Zubia. El jugador de Trenque Lauquen nos contó sus sensaciones en la previa del comienzo de una nueva temporada de lo más alto del polo mundial.
¿Qué significa volver a estar los 4 en La Ensenada?
“Sí, la verdad que está bueno. Es el tercer año que jugamos juntos, pero nunca habíamos jugado seguido dos años. Creo que va a estar bueno, ya nos conocemos. Así que creo que la seguidilla de un año para otro está buena. Para la temporada nos preparamos con muchísimas ganas”
¿Cómo se preparan para la temporada?
“Para la temporada nos preparamos la verdad con gana, ya desde el año pasado que decidimos volver a jugar juntos este año, cada uno individualmente trata de organizarse lo mejor posible y la ensenada como organización también nos da una mano a cada uno individualmente así que obviamente como equipo y como organización así que nada estamos con mucha gana y con gana de que arranque”.
¿Qué es lo más importante para una organización como La Ensenada en una temporada tan exigente como la Argentina?
“Lo más importante es que este año la verdad somos el cuarto equipo en cuanto tercero con la H en cuanto a handicap. Así que es una linda presión que tenemos, apuntamos a ganar, sabemos que hay equipos muy buenos, que están unos escalones arriba a nuestro, pero sabemos que nosotros haciendo las cosas bien se les puede ganar, así que apuntamos a estar ahí, a competir contra lo más grande y a tratar de ganar”

What does it mean to be the 4 of us back in La Ensenada?
“Yes, the truth is that it is good. It is the third year that we play together, but we had never played together for two consecutive years. I think it will be good, we already know each other. So I think the series from one year to the next is good. We are preparing for the season with great enthusiasm.”
How do you prepare for the season?
“We are preparing for the season with enthusiasm, since last year when we decided to play together again this year, each one individually tries to organize themselves as best as possible and La Ensenada as an organization also gives us a hand individually, so obviously as a team and as an organization, so we are very excited and eager for it to start.”
What is the most important thing for an organization like La Ensenada in a season as demanding as Argentina?
“The most important thing is that this year we are the fourth team in terms of handicap, third with the H. So it is a nice pressure that we have, we aim to win, we know that there are very good teams, that are a few steps above us, but we know that if we do things well we can beat them, so we aim to be there, to compete against the biggest and to try to win.”
