Con el 6-3 en el Costa Smeralda Polo Team, U.S. Polo Assn ha ganado la cuarta edición de Italia Polo Challenge. Agotado en el centro deportivo “Andrea Corda” de Abbiadori para la gran final del circuito de arena polo organizado por la Federación Italiana de Deportes Ecuestres: a arrastrar U.S. Polo Assn a la victoria, los cuatro goles del dominicano Ángel Valdez, pero también fueron los italianos Therence Cusmano y Fabrizio Facello.
En Costa Smeralda no fue suficiente el doblete del capitán de la selección nacional Stefano Giansanti y el gol de Boris Bignoli. En la final por el tercer puesto, Petra Bianca superó 4-3 Estrella Galicia.
Pero la de Abbiadori fue una noche de ensueño especialmente para los jóvenes atletas sardos, con el equipo de Nuestra Señora de Coros (formado por Flavio Masia, Maria Riu y Grazia Musellu) que triunfó en la etapa de la Copa de Italia de polo pony, superando 4-0 a EL Union, una formación mixta formada por talentos de Lazio y Emilia-Romagna.
Italia Polo Challenge registró números récord incluso fuera del campo: el inducido económico para el territorio fue de 900 mil euros, con más de 2 mil personas que en los tres días de la carrera asistieron a los partidos en las gradas.
Cerrada la edición 2024, ya está la fecha de la edición 2025, en señal de la continuidad del vínculo con la Región de Cerdeña, el Municipio de Arzachena y la asociación con Smeralda Holding: Italia Polo Challenge volverá a Arzachena del 16 al 19 de julio del próximo año.

With 6-3 in the Costa Smeralda Polo Team, U.S.Polo Assn has won the fourth edition of the Italia Polo Challenge. Sold out at the «Andrea Corda» sports center of Abbiadori for the grand final of the polo sand circuit organized by the Italian Federation of Equestrian Sports: to drag U.S. Polo Assn to the victory, the four goals of the Dominican Ángel Valdez, but also the Italians Therence Cusmano and Fabrizio Facello.
